2023 Run For Education

October 8, 2023

Come for the Run, Stay for the Fun

Join the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation’s 40th Run for Education on Sunday, October 8, 2023. We are planning a full day of activities for serious runners, casual walkers, parents and caregivers pushing strollers, adults, and children alike. Come for The Run and stay for the fun: video booth experience, live bands, kids’ zone, school choirs, SRVFPD fire truck, SR patrol car, food, Menchie’s frozen yogurt, refreshing drinks, and more to celebrate Excellence in Education in the San Ramon Valley USD!

The Run for Education is a tradition in the San Ramon Valley spanning 40 years and is the primary fundraising activity for SRVEF and the community event in the San Ramon Valley that includes participants, volunteers and spectators from all 35 San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) schools, representing the communities of Alamo, Danville and San Ramon. The Run for Education is also the largest run that supports education in Northern California.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an essential part of making the Run for Education safe and successful and we need hundreds of volunteers to help make this annual event a success. We have positions for Middle School and High School age students. We also have positions that are specifically for adults. To register as a volunteer, click here.

Where to Report on Race Day
  • DANVILLE positions – Report directly to Charlotte Wood Middle School (600 El Capitan Drive, Danville). Look for the “Volunteer check-in table”. One of the coordinators will give you a volunteer shirt and any supplies you might need and then send you to your assigned location.
  • SAN RAMON positions – Report to 2700 Camino Ramon – the parking lot directly across from City Center. Look for the “Volunteer check-in table”. One of the coordinators will give you a volunteer shirt and any supplies you might need and then send you to your assigned location.

If you volunteered for more than one position or more than one day, we ask that you check in for each of your positions.

Here are maps to BR2700 and Charlotte Wood.
