Neel Somani Scholarship
The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation is proud to recognize Kanishk Krishna as the inaugural recipient of the Neel Somani Young Innovators Scholarship. Kanishk will attend the University of California, Berkeley, where he plans to continue exploring the use of technology to help solve real-world problems.
Thanks to the generous donation that allowed us to establish the Neel Somani Young Innovators Scholarship, the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation will award this scholarship annually to a graduating senior from the San Ramon Valley Unified School District who demonstrates a passion for technology, innovation, and using creative ideas to make a meaningful impact.
Scholarship information for the 2026–2027 school year will be available in the College and Career Centers at each high school, or online beginning in early November.
The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation is proud to announce the 2025-2026 Neel Somani Young Innovators Scholarship, a new annual award made possible through the generosity of SRVUSD alumnus Neel Somani.
This scholarship is designed to recognize students who demonstrate a genuine passion for technology, innovation, and the creative application of these skills to real-world challenges. It aims to support young leaders whose goals include using technology and entrepreneurship to spark meaningful change and inspire others in their communities and beyond.
The Neel Somani Young Innovators Scholarship reflects a shared commitment to empowering the next generation of problem-solvers—students who think boldly, build ambitiously, and lead with purpose.

Eligibility
- A high school senior at a SRVUSD school
- Pursuing or intending to pursue a degree at a 4 year college or university
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- A demonstrable passion for technology/entrepreneurship
