Robo Racers: Unleash Your Robo Racer Inner Engineer with Python and Pi 6th to 9th grade

Robo Racers is your chance to dive into the world of robotics and programming. The Raspberry Pi is a versatile resource for physical computing and digital making for students of all ages. This course will introduce students to the Raspberry Pi through hands-on work building and programming a robotic car that is capable of autonomous movement, remote control and object-detection. This course is intended for students that have previously completed the Intro to Raspberry Pi course or have experience programming with Python.

Program Details:

• Class Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with a break for snack
• Class Dates: Monday (7/14/2025) through Friday (7/18//2025)
• Location: Gale Ranch Middle School
• Grades: Incoming 6th to 9th grade students
• Instructor: Sean Raser, CHS Computer Science Teacher
