DESCRIPTION:Program Details:\n\nClass Time: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with a break for snack\nClass Dates: Monday (7/17/2023) through Friday (7/21/2023)\nLocation: Pine Valley Middle School\nGrades: Incoming 3rd – 9th grade students\nInstructor: Erin Lopez, Live Oak ES 5th Grade Teacher\n\nDescription:\nTechnology meets art in this introduction to animation class. As a foundation, students will learn about the history of animation by exploring zoetropes, thaumatropes, flipbooks and so many other intriguing early forms of animation. Students will use a variety of mediums, from paper to Legos to Model Magic clay, to practice the art of stop motion animation. Students will learn how to storyboard, write a script, film, and edit their own stop motion animation films. In addition, students can add in sound by recording their own voices or collaborating with others to bring their story to life. After this time, no refunds will be granted. If a class is canceled by SRVEF Imagineering, you will be given the option to transfer registration to a similar class or receive a full refund. The waitlist will be handled in order until one week before the event. At that time, if a spot becomes available, the entire wait list will be notified at the same time and the first to respond will be offered the spot.\n
